We also lived in birdcage walk from 1959 for 3 years but I don’t remember the number. Spent every afternoon at the swimming pool. We were probably neighbours. Maiden name Dickerson.

i lived at 2 Birdcage Walk in 1972/3 whilst serving with the Australian Army. Loved Singapore and consider myself very lucky to have lived there. Have been back in 2019 and although it has changed a lot it is still a great place to visit.

I lived in Hampstead Gardens in 1950s and went to the Seletar Secondary School. My best friends Clare and Harry (RAF servicemen) lived at the same time as us, in Birdcage Walk. I was at the swimming pool nearly every day – school swimming galas took place there … I still have my 3 silver cups !

I lived in Hapstead Gardens on Seletar RAF Camp in the 1950s backing Birdcage Walk, when I was 12-13 years old. My best friends Clare & Harry lived in Birdcage Walk. I went to the Seletar Secondary School and remember the swimming pool, which I went to almost every day. There was a small splash pool with curved steps the adults could sit on whilst younger children splashed about – I took my little sister in this but she was too young to remember. The school swimming galas were held at the main pool and I still have my 3 silver trophy cups to this day !
